Sandhill Cranes and Wood Storks a presentation by Marcia Meara at the DeBary Hall Historic Site
August 18 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm$5
Have you noticed those large, long-legged birds soaring overhead? Florida has a few that fit this description, but two really stand out in our sunny skies – wood storks and sandhill cranes.
Join romantic suspense author Marcia Meara and wildlife photographer Doug Williams at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at DeBary Hall Historic Site, 198 Sunrise Blvd., DeBary. They will share information about these majestic wading birds and their habitats.
This is the fourth installment of a six-part series titled Central Florida’s Fabulous Wildlife. After the presentation, the speakers will answer questions. Meara will sign and sell copies of her books, and Williams will display and sell some of his photographs.
Before the presentation, attendees may opt to tour DeBary Hall’s mansion, which features an exhibit of Williams’ nature photography in August. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2 for children ages 3 to 12, and free for children 2 and younger.
Reservations are not required for the free presentation. For more information, contact Tracy Mestre at 386-668-3840 or tme[email protected].
