There are so many ways to celebrate the 4th of July. We’ve put together a fun list of community events that are taking place around the DeLand/West Volusia region along with some other ideas for a more laid back 4th of July celebration at home. Events are listed in alphabetical order by city. The 4th of July is in the middle of the week this year, but there are plenty of great things to do in West Volusia, starting with fireworks on the 30th and ending with the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway.

DeLand Firecracker Festival July 3rd, 2018
Bring the whole family out to Earl Brown Park for The City of DeLand’s 4th Annual Firecracker Festival!! The Festival includes a FREE concert featuring the United States Navy Band from Washington D.C., fireworks show, food trucks and an awesome Kid’s Zone. Don’t forget to bring a chair or blanket for your comfort while watching the show. Festivities begin at 5:00 pm.Here’s a list of the Food Trucks that are expected to be there…
Deltona Fireworks Extravaganza July 4th, 2018
The City of Deltona hosts an Annual Fireworks Extravaganza on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. The event begins at 6:00pm at the Dewey O. Boster Sportsplex. The 20 minute fireworks display starts at 9:15 p.m. and the event will conclude at 10:00 p.m. There will be live music, entertainment, games, food and a whole lot of fun. The City provides complementary shuttle bus service from the Deltona City Hall to the Dewey O. Boster Sportsplex with the last bus to the Fireworks Extravaganza scheduled to leave City Hall at 8:45 p.m.
At the end of the Fireworks display, all traffic exits the park onto Saxon Blvd. and will be “right turn only”, heading east towards Providence Blvd. For more information on the event, please call (386) 878-8900.

Orange City Fireworks & Fun June 30th, 2018
Join us on Saturday, June 30, for Fireworks & Fun, an annual event Orange City holds for the community to commemorate America’s independence and freedom. It is held at Valentine Park (1595 W French Ave) from 5 pm to 9:30 pm, with a range of festivities including: a watermelon-eating contests, children’s games, bounce houses, rock wall, bungee jump, live band and entertainment, fireworks spectacular and much more!
