A West Volusia Guide to the Best Fall Festivals and Events 2024

2024 Fall for West Volusia means festivals galore, each offering a unique celebration of the region's culture, history, and bountiful harvest. From pumpkin pies to the beats of live music, there's an undeniable magic in the air. Whether you're a longtime local or a visiting enthusiast, get ready to be swept up in the tapestry of autumnal celebrations only West Volusia can offer.

While Barberville Pioneer Settlement is renowned for its historical reenactments and dedication to portraying pioneers living in early Florida, they certainly know how to put on a show! On October 5, antique vehicles roll into settlement for the 2024 Florida Model A Festival presented by the Crankin’ A’s of Daytona. In November, brace yourself for the Jamboree! The two-day, 48th Annual Fall Country Jamboree begins on November 2nd, showcasing Florida's rich history and folk culture. Get lost in the world of historical demonstrators, re-enactors, artisans, and tradespeople. Enjoy captivating performances by Florida musicians, partake in hands-on children’s activities, and indulge in the savory flavors of Florida Cracker-style food.

The Fall Festival of the Arts in DeLand, happening November 23-24, 2024, showcases over 150 artists on Woodland Boulevard. This free event features live music, local food, and family fun, all set in historic downtown DeLand.

The allure of Old Florida from Barberville is not exclusive to just that locale. Further north in Pierson, the rustic, white-barn event venue, Legacy at Oak Meadows, will host Legacy’s Fall Harvest Fest on October 26. Stroll through the vendor market, savor delicacies from various food trucks, and delight in their animal petting zone. There, you can mingle with miniature donkeys, goats, and more. If you enjoy fishing, please bring your fishing pole and bait for catch-and-release fun. Wander through their sunflower fields, picking bouquets to take home, and enjoy a hayride that takes you past Texas Longhorns and offers a scenic view of the farm.

If you like your festivals a little more corny, get lost at the Harvest Fields Corn Maze from October 5 through 27. The Annual Corn Maze in October is a family fun-filled day from finding your way through our largest corn maze in central Florida to enjoying all the extra fun activities on the 100-acre farm, including the pumpkin patch, giant hay fort, corn cannon, round bale racers, duck races, corn hole, corn box, post pounder, and mini hay maze. This agritourism event is situated on a daily working farm where Harvest Fields currently farms hay, cattle, and sod.

Perhaps the biggest Fall Event in West Volusia is the Fall Festival of the Arts  - DeLand. On November 23 and 24, Downtown DeLand becomes a creative hub for the Fall Festival, which unites established and new artists and showcases imaginative artistry. Explore outstanding juried artwork, interact with creators, and enjoy live performances amidst DeLand’s lively artistic community. This family-friendly event offers activities to engage young minds with live entertainment, local cuisine at restaurants, pubs, wine bars, and most importantly, the arts.
